What is Langar ?

LANGAR means free food to a human.
Inside any Gurudwara or by any sikh a Langer (free kitchen) served as a simple vegetarian food to all mankind all visitors without any difference of his/har cast, age, grace, race, rich, poor, religious, all sit in the same pangat (literally "row" or "line") to share and enjoy food together. Mostly Langer served full day of the year in many of Gurudwara.

What are the principles of Sikhism ?

Guru Nanak Dev, the first Sikh Guru, taught three fundamental principles:

·         Kirat Karo - Work hard and honestly, Guru Nanak said nature created you to do something not to just sit in the Jungle to remember the God, so complete your duties you born for. God never be happy to make to separate form your social responsibilities. Means- stay with your family do all necessary work for your family this is your priority of work.

Who is a Sikh ?


     The word Sikh (pronounced "sickh") means 'disciple' or 'learner.' Known as a Khalsa. 
          Sikhs believe in three basic principles.
 1-Meditating on the name of God (praying).
2- Earning a living by honest means as well as sharing the fruits of one’s labour with other.
3- Sikhism rejects caste and class systems and emphasises service to humanity.
